ISK-SODEX 2019 shaping up nicely

–  Strong demand for display space

–  New display dedicated to fire prevention

Hannover/Istanbul. HVAC and refrigeration technologies have an important job to do in our modern indoor world, keeping temperatures, humidity and air quality within the comfort zones required by people and things. Needless to say, the technologies, products and services involved need to meet very high standards. Which is why the best of them are showcased at ISK-SODEX, Eurasia’s leading trade fair for HVAC and refrigeration technology. Held at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, ISK-SODEX is always a solid performer, and the 2019 season, which will run from 2 to 5 October, is already shaping up very nicely. “Even with roughly eight months yet to go till opening day, we are highly pleased with the number of exhibitor registrations received and the amount of space booked so far,” commented Deutsche Messe’s International Product Director, Fabian Perschke. “More than 75 percent of the available space is already booked.” ISK-SODEX is staged in Istanbul by Deutsche Messe and its subsidiary Hannover-Messe Sodeks Fuarcilik A.S. and is held every two years.

ISK-SODEX is a long-standing event that serves as an information and business hub for everything the international HVAC and refrigeration industry has to offer. Its exhibition program is very diverse, encompassing HVAC and refrigeration technology, insulation systems, pumps, valves, fittings, water treatment solutions and more.

The program is growing all the time, and in 2019 will include an all-new section on fire prevention. Engineers, technicians, architects, building planners and property developers will thus be able to use the show to get comprehensive information and advice on the fire prevention and protection aspects of their newbuilds, renovations and conversions. The fire prevention section of the show will present structural, technical and organizational measures to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in buildings, as well as information on sprinkler water supply systems, escape and emergency routes and exits, and the installation of fire alarms.

Richly varied program of in-show events

ISK-SODEX is also a key platform for knowledge networking and sharing among industry peers, featuring a four-day forum of expert lectures from all areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and climate control. “As well as presenting the latest technologies for buildings, the expert lectures explore the equally important areas of R&D, regulatory and legal standards and compliance, and vocational training,” Perschke said.

As well as the forum, the show’s supporting program features various B2B meeting events and high-efficiency business networking platforms. There will also be excitement and entertainment aplenty in the form of the ISK-SODEX Masters League, where the best technicians in the HVAC and refrigeration industry go head-to-head in a battle of skills.

The previous ISK-SODEX show occupied some 42,000 square meters (452,000 sq. ft.) of net display space and featured some 880 exhibitors from over 40 nations. No less impressively, it attracted about 85,000 visitors, primarily from Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa, plus delegations from 34 nations. Based on these figures, the Turkish Economics Ministry sees ISK-SODEX as an important event worthy of its continued support.
